Loud squeal
This occurs when operating the living room slide out. Have tried to lub the rotating rod. Have loosened the bracket bolt and put oil on the shaft. Will not go away.
Thanks for any input.

Had the same problem, metal screech/grind. For us, heavy lubrication of the spur gears and slide out arms, eliminated the noise.

Make sure you don't have something caught in the crack at the bottom of the slideout.

Those big square tubes go into another larger tube within frame and that area wasn't lubed with anything from the factory on mine. I used white lithium on mine. John

Those big square tubes are the slide out arms I referred to. I use slide out dry lube.

Have had this problem since we bought last Aug. Dealer has looked at it several times, sprayed it but nothing else. They spray and operate slide and it seems to go away but always comes back. Don't seem interested in doing anything else. Just played me along and sure enough my warranty expires tomorrow! Pretty smart move on their part. Too trusting on my part.

It could be the rubbing of the side or top / bottom seals. Try some 100% pure silicone spray on the rubber where it meets the slide out.
I have had this happen and it fixed the noise.
But as others have suggested it could be the mechanism needing to be lubed. The silicone spray should help although only temporary on metal to metal.
