Many folks blow the fuse by trying to raise the legs "all the way up". We put a mark on ours about an inch from maximum travel and don't go beyond that. Have not had a problem in 2+ years.

We have blown our fuse 2 times. We just purchased a circuit breaker to replace the inline fuse. It will fit into the existing fuse holder. This circuit breaker was suggested by a forum member. Cost was around $4.00. We haven`t installed it yet but it should save us the aggravation of accessing the fuse holder. I think the weight of these units is a factor. The first we blew the fuse we were trying to lift the truck. Got the breaker at an auto parts store.

Check the simple things first, like grounding is very important, also after the motor rotates the gear in the raise position for a 2 to 3 inch raise; does the motor get warm or hot, especially after the fuse blows. Ensure that gear worms are properly lubricated on both right and left sides and are not binding in any position.
Have you twisted or misaligned a stabilizer leg tubing by moving the rig when the stabilizers are down? You can also check amperage load on the motor with a meter when lifting the unit.
Is the front of the 5h wheel loaded heavy?
Keep us updated as this seems to be a very common problem with the larger/ heavier 5th wheels and needs a remedy by all manufactures.
I have a friend that has a brand unit SOB 39 footer and sheared a cross shaft pin on his first time out. He found a new pin in the town where he was camping, installed and then had the two jacks out of time (one was two inches higher than the other) it took him about two hours to remedy this problem. Lots of fun!!! Ellis

The breaker resets in 10-15 seconds, normally. Remember that the more the breaker trips the weaker it may become.
The best thing to do is try and determine what is causing the problem as previously posted.

That 30 amp fuse is just a tad small for the load...We had the same issue with our 3400 and dealer replaced with 40 amp. I replaced fuse with self resetting 40 amp breaker later....

If this is a problem which has only occurred recently it may be the tubes got bent (moving the unit with the legs down). Happens to the best. Factory messed mine up last Fall at the rally and it took a while to fix.
