New Tires

Well as I was jumping out of the trailer I saw a large opening in the sidewall of the tire, so instead of a new flat screen for the Monty I have to get new tires. the service man said the that they were manufactured 2004 so they are about ready to be changed. Calif weather is prity hard on tires they just rot away and not wear away. Even with 1/2 plywood in front of the tires they still rot. Hum.
I sure wanted that TV, I would have dumped 50 to 60 pounds out of the Monty in one chunk.

I just replaced my 1 year old Missions (after noticing a bulge in one) with Michelin XPS ribs. Pricy, but I will feel better about traveling on them. And I did check the date code of the Michelins before they put them on. 1908, fresh out of the mold.

You can save a bunch of money and get a really good tire by selecting the Hankook 750 R 16. They are a G rated tire that are reportedly superior to the Goodyear. Price is about $140 each. We run 100 PSI.
Good Luck
