Refer Temp

Can somebody tell me how I adjust the temperature in the refer. I am not sure of the operation of it and the mfg materials don't seem to cover it, or at least I don't recognize it. (My pages in the mfg materials, 1/2 are actually upside down and out of order.)

Hello MaMalody,

Looking into the frig on the right side of the fins above the top shelf you will see a plastic slide with a white wire attached to it,slide it all the way to the top to obtain the coolest temp in frig.

I also keep the main push button setting to the max during the summer.

I found the slide control and have slide it up to see if that resolves my problem. What is the push button setting your are talking about? The only ones I know of are the auto/gas buttons.

On our fridge near the top, to the right of the On/Off & Auto/Gas selector is a set of 5 numbered lights with a button that you push to cycle through them to increase/decrease the temp. The higher the setting the colder the temp.

Of course, your fridge might be different since on our fridge it is very well labeled and would probably be easy to find otherwise.

As Art indicated, we have always used the buttons on the top outside of the fridge to increase or decrease the temp.

Folks, some of us don't have the new fangled refrig you have! My 2004 has no lights like discribed and I'm sure Mike's doesn't either! Safe trip back to Vancouver, Mike!

My Dometic fridge in my 2005 2980RL has the 5 lights ... the more lights ... the colder the fridge.

Mine is an 03 unit with no lights. Last couple of days it has moved from 41 degrees to 44/6 degrees and now seems to stay in that range. I have made sure it is not overpacked and have a fridge fan to help circulate the air. I will be out of the unit for two days and will get when I return and go from there. Looks like I may need to call the dealer before my extended service plan expires (28 July). I will keep you posted.
