removing window screens on dual pane windows

I did a search and found instruction for window screen removal posted but it just doesn't work. We have dual pane windows and I pushed on the screen tops until on the verge of a hernia and the darn screens don't budge. Anyone have any information on this removal, thanks.

Copied this from search:

Carol,
Posted it in April under housekeeping, but I've copied and pasted here....
Okay, the "code" has been broken on window screen removal!
There are spring clips in the tops of the screens. Use your fingers underneath the top of the screen frame, push upward, the bottom should pop out of the frame (you might have to use one hand to push up the top and the other to pull out at the bottom) and, "Voila" the screen is out! To return to the frame set the top in first, push up, and press the bottom frame in and you are done.

Simple once you have the "Rosetta Stone" for window screens!!

Pass the word and start that window spring cleaning!

I'll be watching this thread closely - I can't get mine out either (dual pane).

Thanks!

Doesn't work on mine either!!! The only one I can get out is the emergency exit window. It works great on that. So my windows always have this 2 inch strip down the one side of the screened window. Also looking for a solution.

Can someone send me a photo of the window? I'll see if they look different from mine or not and then we might be able to work from there. (I'll need some pretty detailed photos.)

Then it must be the same one. Ours is a 2009 2955RL just took delivery in April (or May? Time flies!) and as far as I know it has double paned windows (it better have as that's what we ordered!), but you never know what feature is changing when on these puppies! I was thinking maybe the screens were set up differently on some models, but I kind of doubted it. However, if I didn't ask then there would be something different.

It is/can be a struggle to get the screens to budge initially...there were some serious words being said in both English and Italian a number of times when I was "test driving" the process on all of the windows...its really not hard in a technical/physical sense (as in brute force...did do some interesting "pretzel moves" in order to get myself in proper alignment with some of the windows) as much as it is "finessing" the screen just right...getting that right just took some time and it did get progressively easier with each one.

Only additional suggestions might be some WD-40 to loosen things up a bit or next visit to the dealership have their techies show you how it is done/prove that it can be done.

Good luck!
