Exnavydiver Montana Master Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Land O Lakes Posts: 2,751 M.O.C. #7753	Andy, it sounds like it hasn't been run in awhile and has dust on the heating element. We have had the same problem with ours several times. I just pulled the fireplace out and unscrewed the top and vacuumed the elements (carefully) and reinstalled it all. No more smells... Dave
