Westport KOA California

Horrible experience. Longtime KOA VIP - made reservations at this KOA north of Ft. Bragg, Calif where we have stayed numerous times - made week-long reservations specifically around dates a particular site was available - site backs up overlooking ocean. Luckily called today to see if we could come in a day early only to find they had moved me to another less desirable site and given the site I had booked to someone else. Had I not called, would not have found out until having driven 5 1/2 hours to get there. Mangement would not budge - so cancelled reservations.

Called KOA corporate -talked to what I thought was a sympathetic reprsentative who assured me she would call me right back. No one has called back. This campground just became a KOA in that last year or so - WILL NOT GO BACK!!!!! May consider stopping using KOA altogether since KOA Corporate does not seem to care about customer satisfaction either!!!

I've yet to find a KOA worthy of revisiting. Overstated and overpriced in a world of SOB parks that care!

The money that they charge is way too much for me, they ding you for every thing they can.
I have been dissapointed three times ith KOA, I will use them only when in a pinch. There are to many non franchised campgrounds out there, and for less money than KOA sometimes a much better RV Park too.

We quit using KOA's a long time ago for various reasons and some such as yours.
