Replcement TV

My '09 Montana came with one of those 50 pound TV/DVD's in the bedroom. After I replaced it with a 9 pound flat panel Hd/DVD's, there was a big gap over the top of the new TV. I ordered some trim from Keystone, and after much sweat, I finally have it looking like this.

I replaced the TV also (I think mine weighed 80 pounds). I mounted mine at the top of the opening and framed in the bottom with a piece of 1 1/2 inch oak and an oak panel.

That's on my list of to-do's. But I can't find a digital LCD tv that runs on 12 volts. Nobody seems to be making them any more, except for a couple of real expensive ones geared toward truckers.

I bought a Toshiba about 5 years ago for my old TT that runs native on 12 volts and has a built in DVD player, but of course, it is not digital. So, in order to use it, I will need to add a converter, which is a pain because then you have to have power for it too. :-p

Maybe there is something that I don't know about.I have the same unit as you, and I just bought the TV from Walmart and plugged it in.It didn't need to be a 12 volt TV.

Yes, that will work alright, but, the idea of having it a native 12 volt is to be able to use it while dry camping and not having to run the generator or use an inverter to watch TV or DVD.
