Slide Out Construction

I have a 2018 HC 345RL. I have a question on large slide out on the entry door side. Looking at the bottom side of the slide out when it is open I notice only 2 white rollers (one at each end of the slide) and none in the middle. Is this correct? It looks like to me it sags some in the middle and I see a little wear on the black material on the underside. In comparison the bedroom slide out (Which is much smaller) has 3 rollers (1 at each end and 1 in the middle) and has zero wear on the bottom. I currently have my unit at CW having warranty work done. This was one of the items to look at. I thought I would search for the true answer before I heard CW's.

I have a 2016 HC 352RL which is probably like yours considering model number changes from year to year. The two white rollers, one at each end is correct. You also have a "slide glide bar" which runs the length of the slide out and is attached to the floor. The slide out moves over the glide bar when it extends and retracts providing support for the slide out. These glide bars are made of a composite material and have been known to collapse which allows the slide out to "fall" and reduce the distance between the floor and slide out. If they collapse, they can also damage the black material on the underside. I just had my floor, rollers and glide bar replaced in December, hence the "low down" on construction of the slide out floor.

Excellent information. I will pass this info on to CW and maybe they will understand it better.

Ours, on the kitchen side slide, broke on our last trip. The wheels are steel with nylon or plastic wheel. They are there as GUIDES.. so both ends of the slide are even when going in or out.. We have a 2015 3610. The gears on these guides stripped. We had Lipert overnight the gears to us. We installed them the next day. there are three bolts on each.. one is for the bar that goes to the other , and two hold the gear assemblies in place.. You must measure the slide at each side to be sure the measurements are the same.. Dealer told us about 900 to fix.. and 8 hours.. Two of us with no prior experience took 1 hour for both.. This is our Reno Dealer... Wow...

Interesting. On ours, no rollers on the hydraulic slides, at least none you can see, three rollers on the standard size cable driven bedroom slide which I spray with silicon occasionally.

No rollers on any slides on ours (that I know of). They all have a full length UHMW ? plastic slide bar that contacts the entire under side of all slides. I have seen SOBs with rollers that tore the s--- out of the slide under sides.
