Our new 3485 is less than a week away....

This Tuesday, the 30th, we do our walk thru and PDI. All things being right on Saturday, the 3rd, we take delivery. Got all our fingers crossed, toes crossed, and arms and legs crossed. Don't wanna cross my eyes or I might miss something on the PDI.
Of course we saw it at the Tampa show and we have been down visiting 3 times. Each time I see it I become more anxious than the before.
Also on each visit I've done a MINI PDI and have yet to find so much as a loose screw. Although I did find 3 screws just laying on the screen of the one Fantastic Vent we could not find any screws missing. We figured the individual that installed the vent must have left them behind.
Monday they will be installing the vent covers and during the week the second A/C AND I decided to have the MorRyde hitch installed with the Pullrite Superglide adapter plate. Unlike my current adapter plate that is screwed and welded in place the MorRyde plate is installed with just 4 bolts making the plate easy to remove.
Can't wait to get my signature to read ....
We are using a 2005 White GMC Sierra SLE 2500HD Extended Cab, Short Bed, 4X4
with the Duramax/Allison Combo and Firestone Ride-Rite air bags
to drag around our 2007 Montana 3485SA 38'4"
using a PullRite 16K SuperGlide Automatic Sliding Hitch

Glen and Lorraine, are you keeping the original pin from the RV?
I'm asking because in my researching of air hitches there has been differing thoughts about combining air hitches. I'm saying having air hitch and also having air pin on the RV. So if ever considering an air hitch keep the original rigid RV pin. This way you'll have the options to find which works best without having to rebuy something you threw away.
Just a thought,
Chuck
Ps as others have said good luck, congradulations, and I hope you can wait. Christmas in Feb. Another good way to start 2007

Glenn,

It sounds like your handling the anxiety over your new home pretty good. It must be getting hard though, knowing it's there, being able to visit it, but having to wait awhile longer to hook her up and drive away.

Keep on hangin' in there, it won't be long now .

Glenn, It will be worth the wait. You'll love all of the new features, and especially the new floor plan.

Don't you have matching graphics on your TV for the 2004?

Think you will find the Mor Ryde hitch pin along with the OEM RE suspension will give you a very smooth ride. We were sort of led to believe that the hitch pin would remove 100% of the chucking, that is not true, 95% maybe. You will still get SOME chuck on rough or wavy roads.

Glenn, If you are a screw collector, here are some of the "donated Keystone screw" places I have found in our 2007 3400RL:

--- Under the bed (after removal of the plywood shelving).
--- Behind the furnace/water pump bulkhead.
--- Behind the LR television (after it is pulled out to attach speaker wires not attached at the factory).
--- Under the plastic bracket for the DVD player.
--- Behind the fireplace.
--- Under the fridge (When I pulled the panel to make into a drawer. Did not find any under the stove - they missed that one).
--- Behind the Apollo oven (removed when it almost burned our one week old Montana to the axles).
--- (Can't remember if I found any when I was playing around in my water heater compartment).
--- Behind my fuse box panel.

This does not include all the extra wires and pieces of wires that were also found in the above places...

I stopped saving these, but that was dumb. Could've opened up my own hardware store by now. And I know I will find more...

I am also sure we could start an entire new (and long) thread taking a survey on where MOCers have found extra screws hiding in their Montanas.

Maybe we should all collect these screws and put them all together at the next rally, and then make a presentation to Keystone/Montana... just in the spirit of light hearted humor - not as a negative against Montana. Maybe we could put a humorous label on this presentation box regarding these "screws" being returned (recycled?) to Montana.

Again, I would emphasize that this should be done in good fun. We could make this presentation to Aram. He would see the humor in this (maybe give him advance notice that this is coming...).

Sorry got off topic... Glenn, I know you guys are really going to enjoy that 3485. Hope those carpets come clean after all the traffic at the Show.

I wish. Tuesday is just the walk thru and PDI. We won't get to sleep in it until Saturday.

Yes I do but I also have the 2007 graphics on order. Can't have a TV that don't match Monty now can I.
