First trip in 3400RL

We pick up and PDI our new 3400RL May 19th and have reserved two campsites within 5 miles of the dealer for three days each. The first three days we are dry camping then the next three with full services. Wish we had done that in reverse but its too late now. We are going to follow the PDI list contained here on the site but since we are totally new to RV'ing we would appreciate some help on a check list or recommended list to make sure we are bringing with us adequate stuff to survive the first 6 days. We have purchased a bunch of stuff but since we are new to all this I was hoping maybe a few of you experienced RV'ers can suggest a list of needs for the first trip. Our Dealer and where we pick up the 3400RL is over 2 hours from home so we just can't run home to pick up something we have forgotten! :-) I suspect we have the major stuff covered but its the little stuff that probably is just as important that we probably have over looked. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dean,
Congrats on your new 3400RL, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. The only thing you need to worry about bringing is the cold beverages, nothing else matters. =)

You are going to love your new home, the 3400RL is incredible. The only thing we enjoyed more than our maiden voyage was the second voyage! Can't think of anything to tell you to bring, cause if I could I would have brought it on our trip! Have fun

we dry camped in ours the first trip out and found out the galley tank and the grey tank don't connect to each other so the grey filled fast I was thinking we had 76 gal grey and we do just needed to put another valve on the out and open the galley and grey so they will equilize just don't forget to close them before dumping number one on the check list for me don't need the black water getting into the grey's got all of this info here on the forum what a great resourse for us good luck and enjoy

We just picked up our new 3400 a week ago, we traded a 2002 2955. Unfortunately we will be using it set up as a seasonal for a few years. My mother in law has alzheimers so we must stay close by.We loved our 2955,we made a few trips with it, but opted for more space. Ours is well equipted except 2nd a/c,w/d but wired and set up for, central vac, dual pane windows, slide tray, larger fridge. I feel that we have all the goodies that we need in this unit and that Montana is a cut above many fifth wheels out there. We have a nice site with mountain views near Schenectady, N.Y.; it's always comfy here, a nice breeze especially on hot days. We rarely use the a/c,when a little more cooling or air circulation is needed we just turn on the Fantastic Fan. We can't wait to travel some day. I will be replacing my old tow vehicle, 93 Dodge 1 ton dually CTD, only 84K on it but doesn't have the power for the larger units. Anyway we have been working on getting it set up for the summer in between the rain drops. Good luck to and happy camping to all the Montana owners.
