I thought I knew the answer but I am not sure. I have asked the Admins for a little assistance. Watch this space.

I’ve did it a couple of times. Hit the edit button then the delete button will appear.

After posting you have a certain amount of time you can edit (or delete) that post. After that time only an admin or moderator can delete it. Not sure what that time period is.

Bill is correct. It is either a function of time or until someone adds a post after you. I have noticed that the delete button goes away after a time.

F.Y.I. the best way to contact the site team is to use the "Report Post" icon which is the red triangle in the left pane below the Avatar.

Ok.

I have made posts that have irritated some folks. In person you will find me to be a VERY friendly person but also very opinionated. I very much enjoy a good debate but sometimes folks take my humor seriously (all to easy to do in a written media). I am by nature and culture a very dominate person with little regard for others feelings (the oilfield isn't a place for cupcakes).

In some cases I would prefer to back completely out of a narrative but it isn't possible (based on what I am hearing here). Sometimes the explanations trying to resolve the misunderstandings are themselves misunderstood.

I'll try to dial back my posts on here but I also feel that folks asking for opinions deserve to hear multiple arguments particularly when it may cost them thousands if they make a wrong choice (for instance buying the wrong truck for their needs).

I will say I am NOT thin skinned and don't mind someone telling me to calm down every now and then when it is warranted.
