Not a good idea to mix 2 different fluids like that. Why is the fluid low? where did it go?

Was a little low from the start. Now have small leak at solenoid for the slides after having to manual operate the slides.

What type fluid is in a 2017 Montana?

This is the fluid recommendation for all Lippert hydraulic systems:

Before adding any fluid be sure all hydraulic slides are retracted and also retract all leveling points so all possible fluid is back in the reservoir. Then it is still a good idea to not "top it off" but leave some room at the top of the tank.

Can anyone post a picture of what the proper top level fluid range should be on the tank? I noticed yesterday, after pulling in the slides, that there is a indented area on the tank and my level was just above the lower indent. Just above the top indented area there was a sticker that said full line. I'm sure we don't have to go to that level but I'm wanting to know what others are doing.

Ok why would you think you don't need to go the the full line?

We've all been told some years back to use any cheap Dextron tranny fluid other than type F which is getting hard to find anyways. You just need a fluid that is relatively thin and does not foam ... tranny fluid. As for level ... with all slides in and landing gear up ... anywhere around 1" from the top. There is no exact ... dead on level. Full enough to not be able to suck air when all slides extended and hydraulic landing gear (if present) is down which relates to about 1" from the top.

Sorry waynemoore I didn't phrase my statement properly. What I meant to say was that the system will work when the level is below the full mark. So does everyone top off to the full mark after retracting their slides and leveling system or do you allow for a below full level tolerance level?

No worries. I didn't think that you were being a smart a$$. Your point was very valid based on my lame question.
