Siloam springs state park

Just returned from 5 days at Siloam springs state park in Il. Very nice state park they have 4 or 5 sites that will handle 40+ foot RVs. We had the pull thru great site. They only have 30 amp hookup at the site but if you fill your fresh water tank upon arrival you will be fine for 4 or 5 days. Great place if you want to just relax and maybe do some fishing.

We stayed there a few years ago. The property the park is located on, used to be a farm owned by my wife's several greats ago grandfather, and the farm house and other buildings were not too far from the site where the springs were located. There was a hotel, post office, and several other building there. The area we were located in was pretty vacant for several days, until a group of rigs pulled in. We got back late one evening, and the group was enjoying a gathering around a fire. Turned out, they were related to my wife's family, and were doing genealogy research just like what we were doing. Small world.
