We've always tried to live in a rural area when given the option and presently live in rural AR. What else could be more appropriate?

Several people have asked me about this on other threads, but when turning the soil over for a user name that said something about me on another forum, I happened upon the name Wordsmith as a person who teaches Advanced Placement English and loves the meaning that words convey, especially when doing my own writing.

When transferring it to other forums, I discovered I am not the only person who likes this name! We are not so insular as we might like to believe!

Searchers derives from our interest in genealogy, geocaching and other hobbies. Seems like we're always searching for documentation of that elusive ancestor that must have been in the witness protection program, hidden treasures, and the perfect camp spot. We hope the hunt never ends!

Searchers,

I always say that some of my ancestors must have arrived and departed by space travel, that they left just enough records here that I know they existed, just no birth or death or burial data! SIGH!

Carol

Love your user name!

MY FATHER WAS A MASTER CARPENTER, NEVER WENT ANYWHERE WITHOUT A TAPEMEASURE ON HIM. SO LIKE FATHER LIKE SON, HAVE ONE TO WEAR FOR EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK, A SPECIAL LEATHER CASED TAPE TO WEAR ON SPECIAL OCCASSIONS AND A TAPE MEASURE AND TOOLS TATTOO ON THE ARM IN MY FATHERS MEMMORY.

Well, since my e-mail address is bill-hill@sbcglobal.net , it just seemed logical. Don't have a problem with people knowing who we are. This has been a fascinating thread, I feel like I know all of you so well. I'm hoping that our travels in the future allow us to meet you all.

Send a message via MSN to Parrothead
Tapemeasure - what a great story - it reminded me of my own father who always had his tools handy. Brought tears to my eyes.
