Coeur d'Alene Idaho

We will be traveling to Idaho in July and have never been in the area. We are traveling in a 28ft Montana with 3 dogs. We are interested in feedback for places to stay thank you

Tom and Kathy, There are several camprounds along I-90 near the Cour D' Alene exits . I have never stayed there . I used to work for company nearby and we had meetings at the big hotel downtown.
I just remember seeing them as we drove along I-90. Sorry I can't tell you more.

Tom and Kathy,
Like WA4BMG I don't remember the name of the park but we stayed at a really nice clean park just north and west of Coeur d'Alene. Post Falls I believe is the name of the town. The park was a huge resort like place just off the freeway. Actually a bit too close for me but we were only there one night. It's close to all sorts of places to eat and shop. Only a few miles from Spokane too.

We can't recommend places to stay but I would never miss an opportunity to eat at the Wolf Lodge Steak House 12025 E. Frontage Rd., Cd'A 664-6665. I was there last 18 years ago and I still remember it as the best steak I've eaten.

Kathy,
I don't know if you are just passing through or touring Idaho but we were there year before last and will be there again the end of July.
If you have time don't miss the drive down LoLo pass.
You take Rt. 12 out of Missoula Mont. and follow it through LoLo to Lewiston Idaho then 12 goes on to the Columbia River George.
At the bottom of LoLo is the town of Kamiah,Id and there is a nice campground there. It is The Lewis and Clarke and they have good food in there Restruant.
You can also take Rt. 95 out of Lewiston and that will take you back to Coeur d' Alene and Rt 90.
This is a beautiful drive if you have time

We stayed at Blackwell Island RV Park in Coeur d' Alene last year and it is a very nice park. The river is right at the park, they have a little beach there also. Coeur d' Alene is a beautiful place to visit. Have fun.

There is the Coeur d' Alene rv park right there in Post Falls off of I-90. It is just down the road if memory is correct from the new Wal-Mart. Have been buy there a few times this past month and there must be at least 40+ rv's in there already. There also is a KOA in the Spokane Valley approx. 15 miles from Coeur d Alene. 315RLS, I will have to agree with you 100%, we just had dinner there on Fri and Wolf Lodge has the best steak around.

Montana Sky,
That sounds like the park I was talking about. I remember going to the WalMart! :-)

I don't remember the name of the park we stayed in 2 years ago in Cor d'Alene, but an interesting side trip if you're there a while would be to Wallace, ID. It's an old railroad and silver mining town. About 60 miles east of Cor d'Alene and worth the drive.
