Jury duty notice?

I usually get a Jury Duty notice every few years. Some I've gotten out of by writing that I will be out of the country on business during that time, etc. But it brings up an interesting situation for me when I'm RVing. We have all our mail held and our bills come in via email. So what happens when you don't respond to the subpena for jury duty and the sheriff sends out deputy to bring you in. 99% of the mail we get is junk. Unless you get a government notice of some kind, which doesn't happen enough for me to pay for mail forwarding.

How do others handle this?

Mail forwarded to son. His wife reviews. If she sees something like that she notifies us immediately and sends scan via email. Yep. We trust her.

That would be my answer also. We do use mail forwarding but, particularly in the spring and fall, it may be a month before we're in one place long enough to have the mail started. We use our store for the official address on things like drivers licenses etc and so our daughter, who runs it now, checks and forwards stuff like that to keep us out of trouble.

X2 for us. We use our son's address as our permanent address. Keeps our health care from changing, vehicle insurance rates stayed the same, etc. We keep a supply of USPS envelopes at his house so every couple of weeks he can stuff all of our mail into them that he thinks could be important. There have only been a couple of things that were important that concerned us about missing. One was a written confirmation for securing our spot in Florida for next winter that had to be returned. This has really worked well for us. As far as the jury summons goes, if he spots something like that we would have him open it and then we would simply telephone the circuit clerks office and tell them our situation.
