Not having a Dodge (that could be another discussion), I don't know exactly what it does. I believe only Ford (and it took two years to get it) displays when an active regen is occurring. The Dodge does not alert you. But your 2009 does have a DPF and I suspect it has done a regen. The signs that a regen is in progress are pretty subtle and can be easily missed. Particularly when cruising about and not working the truck hard.

Maybe another 2009 Dodge owner will enlighten us?

Just bought a new 2009 Dodge 3500 Quad Cab SB 4x4 on March 24th myself. Turned 900 miles on it today without seeing any signs of regeneration yet, but didn't expect to this soon. According to the owners manual there is a display when one occurs.

Still have the the 1995 Powerstroke to pull with as a backup until I get the Dodge setup.

Well, Well... We are on our first pull since having all the latest flashes done and we DID see a regen at high speed while towing. We had never seen that before and we could always see the regens msg center or not because we have a gage. That IS different. Will have to ask the Ford guys why they did that and what the advantage is??? There was no loss of power the only way we knew was by the increase in EGT's and the Msg center. We saw better MPG running solo since the flashes and thus far the first 345 miles North on I-4 and I-95 we are seeing 11.3MPG which is better. We ran this thing across the scales at the Flying J and nearly had a heart attack when I saw 22, 316 lbs ...holy moley???The truck is rated at 23,500LBS. We know the truck weighs 9300lbs plus a bit. Got to empty some stuff out of this thing..

Good to hear that your MPG increased. Gives me hope that my MPG will increase after I get a few more miles on the truck. I have been considering replacing the stock fuel tank with a 60 gal. tank, but if the MPG will increase enough, it won't be necessary.
