Fantastic Hunting Trip!

Chuck had a wonderful weekend - 2 hours into the deer season he shot a BIG 10 point buck - we have spent the last few hours processing it - nothing goes to waste - the dogs get the bones, the cats get the scraps, and we get the backstrap, hamburger, carne guisada, and jerky - oh, and Chuck gets another set of horns on the garage wall!

Since those PA mountains have got a lot higher than they were 30 years ago we no longer deer hunt..However I had to stop and activate my hazards this morning so a nice 8 point buck could cross the road about 1.2 miles from my ..in the city..home. I do miss those days...

Congratulations Chuck, those Texas Whitetails sure taste good. That reminds me, I haven't hunted down there for several years, need to do it again.

Way to go Chuck!! We share with our animals too. Dan went out on Saturday morning (he hunts on our property) but saw nothing but a squirrel! Maybe next weekend we'll be eating backstrap!

I am jealous of your hunting trip! In this family if we had to hunt for our meat, that would be left to me.
Congradulations on your deer.
Don is great at target shooting but he doesn't hunt. But I decided to keep him anyway.

Congratulations and I'm jealous. I go deer hunting every year and am quite passionate about it but it's been dry the past couple of seasons and so far this season as well. Again congratulations!
