Looked like me when I drilled hole in the bed of the truck for the hitch . Are you done NOW?
Was wondering will a stud finder find those alum. studs? See-Ya

Nerve Wracking! When Steve put a new top on my convertible, he never did cut the hole for the backwindow! Chicken! Sold the car before we left for CA, still no back window. We sold the car and handed them the glass to do it themselves.
Looks beautiful Ozz! You do great work.

Just the thought of drilling a hole that size in a brand new Monty would have Lorraine screaming. I do consider myself a pretty handy person but a hole that big?? No way, no how, never gonna happen.

Good Pics, I like the vent cover . My dealer went cheap and used the residential white plastic louvered cover and the louvers blow open as I drive. I will change it out someday.

That must've really hurt to start up that holesaw...
The moment of truth is really scarey. Nice work as usual!

Make sure to use some good silicone under the edges of that vent.

Thank God there was no electrical wire in there. Great job Ozz. I am getting tired to say this. Just kidding.
Keep up a good job and give us more ideas.

Nice job, Ozz. Same outside vent cover our dealer used. Really looks nice.

Glenn, it's not that hard to tell where to drill it. Ozz, did you drill a pilot hole first from inside to help locate it?

By the way, I got me one of those cordless cutout tools yesterday, similar to what you used here. I can think of a couple of places I'll use it in the near future.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Thanks, I just measured from the center of the top of the door window. You can find that outside and inside, I found a place I wanted in the W/D closet, then started the hole saw, the pilot drill in the center of the hole saw penetrated the outside skin, then I came outside and drilled into the hole. Nice and clean.
Good for you! Those are so handy. (How did you slip that past the missus?)
The thing about finding studs, or support members is looking at the RV in the early mornings when dew is on them, the outline of each support is highlighted, just remember these, and you won't cut into anything.

Ozz,
It's really hard putting that huge hole in your brand new rv isn't it? I really like the vent outlet, where did you get it?

8.1al,
Yes, it was!
That came from our dealer's catalog. I think it is a Spledide (Sp?)
Thanks.

It's identical to the one that came with our Majestic stackables. I saw it listed as an accessory in the Majestic manual. So it must be fairly commonly available.
