Generators

Hi

I just bought a new Montana Mountaineer 33' 307RKD. It doesn't have a
generator. Any recommendations for one that will run the AC
(upgraded model) and everything else?

I have a diesel truck (Ford F-350) so I was thinking of a
diesel generator.

Also, where do you put it?

Thanks,

post your question under GENERAL DISCUSSION and I am sure you will many responses. Kipor or Honda 3000 comes to my mind.

Kipor 3000ti. Get it before the quickly rising prices close any more on the Honda that they "clone". We absolutely love ours. Already had a test as our CG lost power in a storm when we had our last heat wave. No A/C was NOT an option in that heat. Our 3000 ran efficiently, quietly, and economically. We are absolutely thrilled with this gen.

Dave, Where do you store it and how hard is it to move or handle?

We have a Yamaha 3000 SEB with the boost that helps starts the air conditioner (15,000). It rides behind the driver's side of the cab. These heavy generators are on wheels so if you do need to move them out of the truck, you can roll them down a couple of 2 x 6's. We just hook ours up from it's position in the truck.

If money and weight were no problem, I would go with an RV Generator that is mounted in the forward compartment that runs on Propane, with the Transfer switch, all automatic, with the remote start and,
a 'Mess-O-gauges' Probably an Onan, or, Honda, if they make a similar model.
If, if, if..................

'07 3400RL 2nd RTU
2 Golf Cart batteries 3,000 watt inverter, automatic transfer switch
Honda 2000 Generator, Maytag's with 220 Dryer
Stationary domed Sat. dish, LCD 12 Volt Amp gauge, LCD Tank Monitor
3 added 120 volt outlets, On Board Air; 12 Volt Viair 450C compressor
2006 Ford PSD 4x4 Off Road Lariat, Hadley Air Horns, Truck inverter with 110 volts: laptop, Color Backup camera, Firestone air bags,Husky air ride roller hitch, Awning lock
