Turn off water supply AND pump if it is on.

Bet you still have the aqua magic two that keystone installs. Dump it and replace with domestic 310 or 320 before that thing floods your rig.

Exactly right. You can call Tetford and get some fixes, but they will only be temporary. Replacing with a Dometic is the only real fix.

Very common with the original toilet, after 3 minor mishaps with ours we installed a Dometic 320 and problem solved. Fortunately, none of the mishaps were severe and were contained in the bathroom. Feel very fortunate as we are aware of fellow rv'ers that left for the day and the total unit was flooded when they returned that evening. Don't wait too long!

We took delivery of a 2018 3791RD a month ago and it was part of the deal that they install a Dometic 320 for us at their expense.

We always turn the water off at the supply when we leave the rig.
Just a habit in case something goes amiss while we're away.
BTW I don't think I have ever had a toilet other than an Aquamagic II in any of my campers. Never had a problem either.

You're very lucky. Tetford replaced one of ours under warranty when the flush mechanism litterally exploded and neither it nor the one that blew up would consistently hold water in the bowl. Got a Dometic and never a problem after that.

Always a good idea to turn the water off if leaving for the day or more extended time although one of our minor mishaps occurred during the night. Not a pleasant experience stepping out of bed in the middle of the night onto a soggy carpet. Our unit was about 4 years old and is used 6 months a year before we started to have any problem. My thoughts are that if you haven't any trouble yet, you are very fortunate but don't become complacent as your unit ages. It is just a matter of time. BTW, our extended plan insurance replaced ours with a Dometic 320 and we really like it.

No big problems with the OEM Johns on both our Montana's. The ball and rubber seals requires maintenance they need cleaned and lubed on a regular basis. We did have a improperly installed spring on our 06 Montana and they sent us a new john. We use baby oil on the seal. When we know we will be away for awhile we pour some baby oil in the water and let it sit.It keeps the seal soft.

What went wrong with our Thetford was the foot lever wouldn't stay on. When flushing it would pop off. It just snaps on. Very hard to reinstall as there is a strong windup spring. It finally started popping off at least once a day. Dometic 320 fixed it.

I installed a Dometic 320 in mine because of the comments just like this and because it looks just like my house toilet as it is longated .Easy install. Be sure to get the one with the spray. Bought mine at PPL in Houston. I believe i paid 199.00 earlier this year and it was cheaper with the spray than without.

When I see the Dometic or 320 on sale I may purchase one.....Question
Which model 320 Dometic will fit directly in our 13 3402 without alteration.I see high profile, low profile, standard. We have the OEM Thetford. My guess is the Standard model.

No. If I remember correctly I shortened the connection a little with a shark bite.

We have the 2012 3402, and I replaced the high Thetford toilet with the high Dometic 310, but could have just as easily used the high 320 model. There is plenty of room for either one. The only thing that may require a little extra work is the water connection on the Dometic is on the other side from the Thetford. I got lucky, and was able to make the connection without cutting an elbow into the PEX, but your installation may be just slightly different.
