Trailer village
Planing on heading to the Grand Canyon after New Years. Has anyone stayed at trailer village ..? I know this time of year will be cold but that’s ok. Maybe 3-4 days.. then who knows where to next lol

We stayed there in 2015. It is owned by Xanterra or whoever runs National Park CGs. It is OK, the spaces between sites is not too bad and the buses stop just outside the entrance so you really don't need your vehicle to get around. We would stay there again. If I remember correctly, one couple we met were spending 30 days there so they must not have a limit on how long you can stay. By the way, there were elk in the campground too.

We were there Late September approx 4 years ago with a Fantasy Caravan, so they can handle all sizes of units. When we were there we had Elk napping right under the nose of the Fifthwheel. There are several other CGs right there, but it was the only Full Hookup one.

Remember the elevation is 7-8000 ft (too lazy to check). So lows could be in the teens or lower???.

Stayed this October there. I stayed in the classic sites. This area has some trees but the road in his broken down asphalt. They have full hook ups but I saw cable boxes with wires hanging out. Elk did come through the area. Had full hook ups except cable. Also had a tight spot and had an encounter with a tree. I would get the sites that are black top with full hook ups and cable. Can’t remember what they are called but more money. As others said, shuttle bus stop just outside the entrance to the campground. It was cold a few nights. Don’t leave any sewage hose out or bags of dog food. Crows will peck them. I would definitely stay there again.

Arizona DOT has highway cameras which update every 15 minutes or so. You can check the condition of the roads.....see the ice in January that way.

We found their facilities good in 2016 and way better then the 130 mile round trip commute to Williams, AZ or the poorly maintained CG just outside the South entrance where we stayed in 2017, Grand Canyon Camper Village (their Google reviews are lies and mine was evidently pulled)

We stayed there January 2017 showed one night woke up to it in the morning. Was very beautiful just one suggestion make sure you have a ladder to clear your slides of snow before closing them. I had to go on roof and the curve of it was slippery.
