We stayed at Savannah Oaks in 2008. The park was quiet since it is a few miles off the interstate. Shaded sites with lots of room. The drive into Savannah was on Interstate 96 and 16 and was no problem. Good parking at the visitors center. We did not eat at Paula Deans but at a local seafood restaurant on the Ogeechee River near the park--the food was very good. Something weird about Savannah Oaks, the 50 AMP connector on the post was mounted upside down so my surge protector stuck up in the air!--I used some rope to tie it to the post. We drove out to Tybee Island and it was really nice--in the fall no one was there.
