Led lights in awning rail

I saw at camping world 1/4 inch led rope lights that fit in the awning rail. And thought that might be a good thing as you would not have to remove them to roll up awning I don't know how brite these would be . I would mostly use these when Dutch-oven cooking or grilling in the evening and a little star watching by the campfire what do you use from or around your awning for light?. We have a 2013 3100RL and wondering if any of you might know how wide is the awning , I think 16 feet but not sure. and could not find any sizes in the Montana brochure's on the keystone website I was just thinking ahead to warmer weather for the up coming summer .

Thanks Bob and Liz

I think the awning on my 2015 3100rl is 18'. The LEDs put out a lot of light and are great for working or reading under the awning. Be aware that if there are bugs out that are drawn towards light they will be all over your camper (is it still alright to call it a camper?). One evening last spring we had hundreds, maybe thousands, of small gnats on ours. When we went in that night we must of killed 30 of them!

The awning fabric on our 2013 Montana 3100 is 15 feet, it is almost 16 feet support arm to support arm. I just ordered a new one today so the measurement is very fresh in my mind.

We prefer no light or as little as possible while "star watching".
