Which Wheel Chocks

I've got a pair of yellow plastic ones, a pair of heavy rubber ones and one of those two plastic wedges & long threaded rod ones. No idea what brands. Rubber works best on pavement, plastic & wedges work best on sand & gravel. Only question I've got is no one mentioned chocking so you can do the 'gentle but firm bump' while hitching up. That's why I take the wedges off first & leave the rear most chocks until ready to depart.

Roto chocks for us, although we use the yellow plastic ones, one per side, just as insurance before putting the roto chocks in place or removing them.

I currently use several wedges of douglas fir firewood as chocks, and have always had a vision of them "getting disappeared" some night by a campground neighbor that didn't bring enough firewood for their campout. It has never happened, as I figure with the slides open, they are a little harder to get at. I might use them up in the campfire one of these times though.

Stopped at Harbor Freight yesterday to look those ones over, ...and damn they are heavy! They look like they would work very well on asphalt or concrete, .....maybe not so well on dirt and gravel Think I'll stick with firewood wedges as they seem to work well in all situations.

I use roto chocks between tires, helps stop some movement when parked. Even stops you from pulling out of campsite if you forget to remove them, dumb me.
I recently got a set of the Andersen levelers, they work very well. Makes leveling a breeze, no more guess work on leveling. I am very pleased with them.

We lost the lightweight CW chocks out of the truck bed, too.

Have a pair of the rubber chocks like Carl and Bingo, a pair of yellow plastic chocks, a pair of the X-chocks for between the wheels and a pair of "all natural" chocks that have been cut from two angled branches of an apple tree that mother nature provided in her infinite wisdom! Sounds like a lot but they are all for specific instances and they all work! Don't get any movement, I'll guarantee it!

Scissors-type expanding between the tires for me.

I've discovered that if I put one on each side of my Monte, it becomes almost rock solid when moving around inside.

I leave the wrench on these chocks when camping as a reminder to me to remove them. My F-250 diesel can easily destroy them (don't ask me how I know). . .

We use the cheap plastic chocks and they work good with auto level up. After we level up we put the chocks between the tires and that adds a lot of stability. We remove before we start to use the level up system to level down to put the 5th wheel back on the truck. I made the mistake of putting the chocks between the tires before leveling up and after all of the movement of leveling up we had a rough time of getting those chocks out between the tires.

here is what I have been using for 14 years. they don't brake unless you forget to remove them and try to go forward. LOL
