Hello everyone, and thanks for all of your comments and advice! After careful consideration of our camping style, we decided on the 330RL with the camp fridge, instead of the 331RL. I am just not convinced that the residential fridge would be in our best interests for the long term. We are not full timers, but we do manage to get a couple months a year on the road. We are excited for this new chapter and cant wait for the delivery!

As part timers, we like our gas/electric fridge. 12 cu ft is very good. Plus, Walmart isn't far away. We're out and about anyway. We don't need a big freezer. We go out 1.5 to 3 months, lotsof miles. If by some chance food spoils, it doesn't cost much to replace it.

Not criticizing residential fridge at all. It's just what fits our needs as well.

We got our 331RL in March of 2019. Love the floor plan. Had a roof leak at rear AC, that turned out to be gasket not properly installed. Changing OEM pin box to MORRyde after six months has been the best thing we have invested in. Welcome to the forum, and safe travels

What model of Pin Box did you get? I was told by MORRyde they did not have a 19K pin box with the same bolt pattern??

Make sure you get G rated tires. Ours came with E rated. Replaced with G after two blew out on the DS and took out the skirt and hydraulics.

We also had the same problem with the fridge and the bar. Our cabinet was fine - for about a year. Then one day it pulled out the screws on the front side, allowing it to rock into the fridge door! The dealer added pieces of wood and angled the screws. I am guessing Montana used short screws and didn’t go into much wood! We still have a nice dent in our door!

You guys gave me an idea. I'm gonna make a large soft or styrofoam pad and insert one between the island and kitchen counter and another between the island and dining table during travel.

That will help during the towing earthquake. The island is subjected to some violent stress. Even if it doesn't pull out of the floor, the torque action will weaken the island cabinet.

On the HC line what are you screwing into in the floor? How thick is the plywood (or whatever it is)? Isn't it Plywood/foam/plywood? If the top layer is 1/2" or 7/16" then that's all you'll grab with a screw, right?

I believe you're right. Maybe some kind of anchor would be better.

I also don't know where the galley tank is under the kitchen or how far beneath the floor it is. Is there a risk of screwing into it if you were to use something long enough to screw down through all layers?

Since the island moving a lot doesn't seem to be a wide-spread problem maybe it's more about how many screws were used. Putting them in at an angle is a good idea as well.


Edit: I did some looking around and it's hard to find any real data on the floor construction of the HC. Here is a pic from a plant tour video I found. The floor looks like it might be a couple inches thick.

The acronym, PDI has 2 different meanings in my book.
Pre Delivery Inspection and Pretty Darn Important.
Be sure to take your time during your PDI, 4 eyes are better than 2. If you see something that isn't right, don't let the dealer pass it off as "that's normal" or "they are all like that." Something that isn't right the day you get your new rig usually doesn't get better going down the road at 65 MPH. Make them fix it before you sign anything. It is better to be a "Happy Camper" than an "Unhappy Camper." I am speaking from experience!

Model RPB72-1116-05 fit our 2019 331RL replacing the OEM Lippert 1116. The -05 designator is for the rubber bushing, 05 is good for 14,001-18,000 GVWR but the 06 is good for 18,000+ GVWR.

We had it installed by Morryde at last year's Montana Rally. They verified Model Number and weight, where we chose to go with the beefier -05 versus the -04 which is good to 14,000 GVWR.

Hope this info helps. Believe me....the difference is night and day improvement.

We purchased the exact model 2020 331rl in October 2019 We haven't stayed in it yet, BUT the island was too close to the fridge like others said and the fridge dented. We caught this right off and they replaced the door for us and moved the island back towards the table slide. This seemed to fix the issue. We will be using it full time from May to October and not traveling with it hoping to extend it's lifetime. Good luck with yours!

We took delivery of our 330RL in March 2019 and towed it 15,000 miles in one trip. Everything worked well. Getting ready to drive to FL this week.
Like most people, we tie down cabinets, doors and anything that moves before traveling with the rolling 7.0 earthquake.
