Carpet’s got to go

The carpet has to go! Looking for input from those who have done this. We are going to leave carpet in the slides but put sheet vinyl thru out the kitchen living area. Not sure that laminate planks will work due to that being a “floating floor”. Any input or photos will help.

On our old rig we used commercial grade vinyl tiles and had no problems with them for the next 5 years of full timing.

I would like to remove the carpeting but can not justify the expense just because we do not like it. If it wears out we will replace it with wood. The carpeting in our 06 3400 never wore out in 7 years with heavy use.We note that most models are not doing carpeting anymore.

I pulled the carpet and a million staples + 5lbs of dirt and put down LifeProof floor planks from Home Depot. Put a couple screws on the outermost edge planks to prevent movement and it looks great, with zero problems.
