Kitchen Faucet

Have problem with kitchen faucet not working until bathroom sink is turned on. Problem getting worse. Faucet will be working fine & then nothing comes out until bathroom sink is turned on. Almost as if it was air bound. Have a 2008 3400RL Monty.

Anyone else have this problem & what was the solution.

That sounds like some kind of weird air lock. There is a maze of piping behind your convenience center, but it is hard to understand what goes to which. But that is where I would begin after trying to ensure the air was bled out of the lines.

I would first remove the filter screen from your faucet (where the water comes out) and see if you have any calcification or other debris in it. I'm thinking that by turning on your bathroom faucet (I bet you haven't tried it with your shower) you are causing the pressure to lessen somewhat which may be helping the water at the kitchen faucet to navigate the debris. Let us know...

I seem to recall someone else had this problem. Turns out there was some kind of check valve (I can't remember if it was under the bedroom sink or the counter sink however). Hopefully, whoever had the problem previously will come along and post the remedy. Unfortunately all I recommend is trying the search function for kitchen faucet.

some sink faucets had a check in them so they could be used with an optional sprayer. What is happening the check is closing and to release it you have to turn another faucet on to relieve pressure. you will need to remove the check in the faucet body to stop it from happening. At least that is what has happened in the past.

We had the same problem. Eventually, we replaced the faucet and the problem was solved. I think the faucet gets clogged with hard water deposits. At first, we thought it was the check valve. A technician stated that he could not see how that was the problem with just one faucet and not others. It was strange that relieving some pressure did help.
Good Luck,
LCarter
