Hydraulic landing gear

Our 3811 has the self leveling landing gear. I recently discovered that I can raise both axels up to 3 inches off the ground. I do this to slow down the mice and place bait traps near the wheels. The mice have been chewing through wiring at an alarming rate.

My question is can I leave the wheels up for the winter (3-4 months) without over stressing the hydraulic hoses, pumps, etc. Any help is truly appreciated. Steve

Steve,

Welcome to the forum!

Your front jacks obviously maintain a load on them anytime you are not connected to your truck. The other jacks are rated to lift the rig also. If you are really worried about it you could use some good jack stands to keep your rig up and then retract the rear hydraulic jacks.

Fresh Cab inside and compartments. Havoc rat poison outside I think it only comes in 25# pails now. Grain Farmers use it if you know anyone.
Kept in my boat storage for 17 years never had mice rats or snakes.

I lost a best friend to poison last year. It can get in the food chain and kill unintended victims. Use traps instead.
