FINALLY Got the TRUCK - Woo Hoo

Thanks again to all who have helped Kris and I so much with information and ideas. Just had to post that the truck finally came in and we just picked it up today! Will try to post some pics, but it rained all day today, so hopefully can get a few shots of it tomorrow. If anyone is considering the Autumn Red, it looks really nice. Also, if anyone is considering a Ford right now, there is $4000 available plus the $750 customer check you can get if you visit the Ford website and request information sent out. So, we ended up about $5660 below invoice splitting the holdback. I hope its okay to share this, because I kept wanting to know what people were actually paying in the real world for these rigs, and hope it might help someone...

Your gonna like that new Ford. I have the 2011 F350 King Ranch. Just turned 20,000 miles. Another 1,000 and I will have the third oil change. Only problem was the evaporator coil at 8,000 miles. It was replaced along with all the other parts around it under warranty. Hope it exceeds your expectations.

Greg,
Now you'll have to sit down w/the manual to figure out how everything works. I did! So quiet, and so comfy.

Those are really nice trucks. I keep looking at them when I go in for regular maintenance. Advertised around here for $12,000 to $14,000 off MSRP, so that would in the range of what you paid.
But that is still a lot of money. Especially when mine is paid for, only about 70,000 miles, and still running good.

I liked the autumn red myself.

If you get all of the electronics figured out, you can come and show me.

I know, and it is a load of reading between the regular owner's manual, the diesel supplement, the 4X4 supplement, and then if you have the nav system you're looking at a thousand pages with all the books.... I'm waiting for the movie

No kidding.... I haven't even made it through the basics let alone all the fancy stuff it can do. I'm still working on the 450 page owner's manual, but slow going

We sure enjoy riding/towing with our F350. It is quite and powerful. I believe we have similar equiped trucks. Our has 13300 GVWR and 30000 GCVWR so any 5er will fit. Have fun and enjoy the trips along with the destinations.

Anyone watch the recent "Top Gear" TV show, where the boys pitted the "Top Three" Made In America trucks against each other?

I dunno.........I'd say that all three did the job just fine. Top Gear boys claimed the Dodge outdid everything (just because it pulled a house down), but personally I think that the "Big Three" all performed fabulously! I'm just a little "miffed" that they never have a GMC in the mix. Always Chevy.....and according to the GMC boys, the difference between Chevy and GMC is........at GMC, they actually tighten all the bolts up on the truck!!!

Greg, are you going to take your Ford out and "burn rubber" for 5 minutes like the Top Gear boys did with their Ford? Only TV people can afford that..........

Congrats on the new truck! I Googled pictures of it and it's an impressive looking truck. Enjoy!

LOL No, I'm still in the "baby it" stage, which hopefully will wear off in a few hundred miles Then I might get on it a little, but probably won't be trying to do cookies with the dually LOL...
