2017 Montana High Country 344RL or 345RL

We are looking at the Montana HC 344RL or 345RL. Does anyone have feedback on these models?

If you have a Montana HC, are you satisfied with it overall?

We have a 2015 Jayco White Hawk 33RSKS travel trailer that we love, but we're retiring soon and want to switch to a fifth wheel to head south for the winter months.

Thank you for your input!

I have a 2011 HC 323 RL. We like it and have had no trouble with it.
The 344 and 345 look a lot like the 343 that was discontinued a year or so ago. What really matters is what you like and need.

I have a 2014 HC 343RL. I like it but rear air was not cutting it so had air put on the front. Overall I have had no issues and like it. Changing out bed and tires. I am satisfied.

Hi I'm new to this group. My wife and I just purchased a 344RL. For the most part we love it. Have had a couple minor issues but nothing real major, hauls great, plenty of room, heat pump is great.

Only thing that really bothered us is the outside kitchen refrigerator. If your planning on keeping food or beer in it, you can't. Mine is manufactured by DP and the manual says Wine Cooler so it only gets down to about 45 degrees. That's not quite cool enough for food and definitely not cool enough for beer or sodas.

Thanks Ron

345RL

We purchased our 2017 345RL the end of February. So far so good. We love the floorplan and features. This unit had all the features we were hoping to add in our new coach, self-leveling, outdoor kitchen, bike rack, larger pantry, larger shower with seat, larger basement storage and couch fold out bed without air mattress. Only issue so far is probably operator error. We have not been able to get our ice maker to work. However, like I said, it is probably operator error.

Regarding your ice maker - do you have the residential frig? There is a valve on our 353 in the cabinet next to the frig. (have to get on your knees to find it) I also think there is one under the sink. check for those.

It also took me a while to understand the switches on the frig. The button showing the ice on the control panel actually turns the ice make OFF is the button is lit. Like you said - it was operator error! works well now.

the only difference is the 345 comes with a residential refrigerator and the 344 has a camping refrigerator (Propane) that's it.

Twopetes - Thanks for the information about the valve. Ours was located in the very back of the cabinet beside the refrigerator. I do not think we would ever have looked for it there. But alas, now our ice maker works! Thanks again for the info.

I will be replacing our outside fridge on our early 2018 High Country 345rl. Need a mini fridge that will keep the drinks colder than a wine chiller fridge.
