2005 2955RL Very low water pressure

Before it go searching for filters, does anyone know where they all are? Thin stream in kitchen, adequate flow in shower, not much pressure at toilet. It removed the brand new toilet and found alot of white crud l. Ideas?

Both the sinks and the shower should have screens in the heads and some kitchen faucets have another at the bottom of it. You'll need to remove them and clean them.

My old 2005 2955, which some days I wish still had, didn't have an inline canister filter. I don't think any Montana has ever had one as a stock item. But there is a screen filter intended to keep out large rocks and small animals in the hose connection at the back of the rig. As DQDick wrote, there are additional screen filters at he kitchen faucet, the bathroom sink and the shower head. The shower valve also has a small orifice which has been known to plug up. The toilet is weird as it doesn't have any filter that I recall.

Assuming you have decent water pressure (you did check it at the entry to the RV?) I would closely examine the water inlet line and screen filter. It seems to me that is the only point which would affect the toilet. White crud in the cold water line is unusual. The hot water heater has a propensity to sluff off crud but it shouldn't be involved with a toilet.

Thanks folks... cleaned the screens and found the bathroom sink mostly clogged, kitchen with a few particles, shower with a few particles, tomorrow I'll check the outside screen. The stuff looks like white sand with a few flakes.

That white sand stuff is more than likely calcium deposits and they may be coming from your water heater, through the lines and being caught by the fine filter screen in the sinks and shower. Which water heater do you have an Atwood or Suburban? How is your anode rod doing if it is a Suburban? IF you have either one of the water heaters, have you flushed them lately? They have a tendency to build up calcium on the inside of the tanks and thus go to the filters in the sinks and shower faucets. If you have the Suburban water heater and you haven't checked the anode rod, do so and you may find the rod to be gone in the way of the rod itself leaving just the wire that holds the rod material that is sacrificed to keep the heater clean of calcium and other minerals. I empty the water heater before storing it or if not stored and using it for extended times I shut the heater off, let it cool and remove anode rod(or plug f it is an Atwood heater and flush the inside out with a wand that I purchased at one of the RV stores, Camping World or Wally World whichever it came from. I flush it out good also before storing for any amount of time too.

Thanks, it's a Suburban. I fired it up yesterday (elect) and it didn't work. Hit reset ND it started working. Going to flush it today. Might need to replace the anode, need to find a how-to on that.

You can download a manual for the water heater here. http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEV...O3P6hd5CBF8kc-

It is for a 6 gallon model, but they are all the same. Turn the power off, and switch off the gas. If the water is hot in the tank, I find just running water after turning off the heat sources until the water runs cool works pretty good. Then turn off water to the trailer. Once that is done, relieve the pressure by opening a faucet. Then, use a socket that fits the anode and unscrew it. Water will drain, and if you have one of the nozzles made to rinse out the tank, use it to rinse out the crud that builds up inside. Once that is done, wrap several layers of Teflon tape on the threads of the new anode and install it tight enough to not leak. If you download the manual, instructions are at the top of page 6, and part numbers are on page 8.

I had a very thin stream in the kitchen but adequate ones in the shower and toilet. I removed all screens and cleaned them and it made no difference. I then removed the blue filter that attaches between the campground connection and my hose. That fixed the problem. As we always use bottled water for drinking I am not concerned about not having a filter.

I had to use a inline filter(blue one)while in Florida to keep coffee pot clean but found that it causes low water pressure.
