Furnace maintenance?

Is there something I should be doing to maintain the furnace? Are there filters hidden somewhere I should clean? I have never seen a post about furnace maintenance. Any suggestions?

Their are no filters but what I do is make sure that no buddy has build any nests in the intake and exhaust during the summer time when we haven't used it and I vacuum the
dog hair out of it and just make sure it's clean to do that I pull the back wall out in the basement to get to it not to bad of a job to do!

I always purchase vent screens. This will stop as mentioned above insects building nest.
I had mud dobbers that were nested around the Fan a few back had to remove furnace and fan motor to remove.
