Heater blowing fuse

My 2016 Montana 3790 with an Atwood heater keeps blowing fuses. Call Atwood told them my problem. They said that I may have bad motor. But before they replace it. They will send me a slow blowing fuse and if was to big to close the door. I will need this other type slow blowing fuse. Which they are also sending. If the the fuses don't fix it they will replace the motor.
Has anyone heard of slow blowing fuse? And how safe are they?
I have check with everybody I fine and no body has seen or heard of them.
Thanks for any feed anyone can give. Happy Camping Tom

Slow Blow fuses have been around for some time. A common use is for an electric motor that has an instant of high current draw to start, then settles back to normal current to run which probably is their thought in trying to solve your issue. A slow blow fuse will absorb the instant of high starting current and continue to protect the circuit after that instant passes. If there is a continuous high current draw ... the slow blow fuse will blow.

I have also heard of slow blow fuses and agree with diesel guy's explanation. That said, if this was my Montana and still under warranty I would get my dealer involved and REQUIRE a new motor as a minimum as I would consider a slow blow fuse a PATCH.

I'm there also. New should be new and working correctly.
