King bed sheets

For those of you that have the new king bed do you use standard king size sheets? I bought a set of standard king sheets for the bed but they seem too big. Maybe I need a special size. I think the mattress measures 71.5 wide and about 75 long. In the past I had a queen bed and it used standard queen sheets.

King sheets are too long for ours, so we end up tucking them in at the foot of the bed. Some folks have actually sewed up the fitted sheet to fit.

I think the mattress can only be so long because of the width of the rig.

My wife told me she uses the standard King size sheets but she also reminded me we have a 4 inch foam topper that takes up the slack.

When we got our Monty, we were told it had queen bed. We re-placed it with a queen bed from a regular store. The one that came in the camper was about 6 inches or so shorter. I think in the RV industry they are called what they are based on their width. Our experience has shown us that when they say queen or king they are probably still shorter than what a regular bed would be. Has anyone else noticed this?

I found out the hard way that there is regular queen and then RV queen which is 5 inches shorter so it would not surprise me that there is a RV king size also. We also have a king size but a foam topper on it so the sheets do fit but are long.

Well we had a new mattress made for the unit as we had it made standard lenght but only 72" wide so the sheets fit fine as that is only a few " shy of the width but out mattress is thick so it uses it up sailer

It is difficult to find sheets that fit, you just have to make do. I searched all over when we first got the rv and only found the correct size in England and since I am not going there anytime soon, just make do. Also we have the topper and that helps. Karen

I use standard king sheets in our Montana. On the fitted sheet at the bottom end I use the elastic sheet "garters" that keeps them snug, and I just tuck the top sheet and blanket under the mattress.

We added the two inch thick foam pad from Target (Temperature sensitivity controlled) It was a king topper and I had to take an electric knife and cut off about 4 or 5 inches from the side. We used the king size sheets and they did fit better, but still not a tight fit. The queen size were to small, even with out the topper.

Buying that 2 inch foam topper was the best thing we have done. Finally bought one for the house. Sleep soundly now in both places.

We have bought these sheets and they fit the king bed in our 3400RL just fine.
