2005 Montana - new to us, newbie here!

Hi there...we are newbies and purchased a Montana at a seasonal site this year. We are joining this forum for some insights on some things we'd like to update Specifically, the shower holding tank. ...I'm hoping to bump around this site to find out if someone has already asked, or where I should post the question

I'm also really looking forward to see the tips from experienced campers!!!

There are no shortage of things you will think up as you go along. RVing is a adventure so take it all in stride and you will enjoy it. I have a 03 and have done a couple mods already. I put those removable hooks on the outside of the shower to hang towels on i put 2 more inside shower to hang wash cloths on.
Welcome to the site and enjoy the day

thanks!

thanks for the response and the tips! I did add over the top hooks for the towels too! but didn't think of the inside ones...I appreciate it. I used pinterest for some 'hacks' lol... we haven't done most of them yet.

Now for me to figure out the 'etiquette' for this site...quote stuff, just reply add text, etc. I'll go read some to get the feel for it. someone did suggest I put the model/year in my signature line, so I'll do that today

thanks again! have a great spring!

thank you BuilderBob (I'm trying to add a signature line with this info...still looking for where to do that but in the meantime: 2005 Montana 3400RL.

yes! We bought it last summer, and in the fall discovered that the underbody vinyl (?) was dripping water. so we opened that up and discovered that the grey water tank was leaking. so for several weeks and searched videos/etc on how to fix it. wet tried multiple things, but we THOUGHT the one that held was the black ABS cement. so after watching it for a while we buttoned the underbody back up.

Lo and behold....3 weeks later, it was leaking again. I suspect there was another crack we didn't originally patch (but could be wrong, we will be opening it back up next week...hubby had knee surgery and has trouble climbing under there). If we find a crack higher up (we think it is, which is why it started leaking after getting fuller?) then we are thinking stop messing with it and just put a new one in. Of course ordering the correct part is as big a hassle as removing the tank!

any help is appreciated.
