Road Atlas?

New to the form so if I'm posting in the wrong place, help me out.

DW wants new Atlas for our 40' Monty. Help on bridges, roads, fuel stops, parking and camping. Is there anything like that?

Rand McNally RV atlas? Truckers Rand McNally?

Have a late model F250 with a gps, do you need a rv gps?

Trying to make best decisions for the first time.

If you have a GPS it's best to have an RV one that way you can enter the height etc of your rig and it should help you avoid low bridges etc. I've used a Rand McNally RV GPS for the last 9 years of full timing and about 110K miles and not had any issues. Garmin, however, has new ones that are easier to get the map updates from and have some other advantages so I have last years model on order. If you ordered last years model from Garmin.com you can get one for about $220. We also get a new truckers atlas every other year to make sure the GPS isn't making any mistakes.

Thanks. What is different about the Truckers atlas from the RV atlas?

Trucker Atlas highlights trucking routes. It also lists low crossings on those routes. Each State declares its height. The truckers atlas will list bridges that are exceptions to that height.

Me, I use a Garmin RV GPS, Trucker Atlas and Allstays app to figure out route.

RV atlas emphasizes where to camp and not bridge heights
