Camping neap ear Mammoth caves
I was wondering if any of our fellow members have ever camped near this national park? I looking for a full hook up type. All suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks

We stayed at Cave Country RV Park 12 years ago and I think it was ok. The reviews on rv park reviews are 5 out of 5 stars.

We were at “ Jellystone 5 or 6 years ago. We had a 38’ tt back then. It was very nice, but the roads and curves were a little to tight for our 41’ 5er that we have now. Lots for the kids to do without leaving the campground. I don’t know where you will be coming from but I-65 is a little rough for my liking. Just don’t go really fast and watch the road and you’ll be fine.

Funny you ask. My daughter just suggested we go there. Keep us informed on your choice.

Another vote for Cave Country RV, right off I65, close to all sorts of sights and caves, restaurants, and also worth a stop the Corvette Museum is right down the road.

I woulld offer, but we camped in 1977 in a Tent pretty close to the park, don't have the foggest idea of the park name. We were young and crazy at the time and did the All Day Trip through the Cave and were dead tired at the end of the day.

GM used to let you tour the Corvette factory. When the museum caved in and closed for a while, they stopped the tours, I think. Anyway, call ahead to check if they give tours. That is if you are interested.
I owned a 'Vette' from 68-70 until I sold it to finance my wedding! LOL So I may have a softer place in my heart than most!

Stayed at Cave Country Rv
We stayed at Cave Country RV Campground, we arrived the day the world stopped turning in 2020. Nice campgrounds and very accommodating since everything was closed around the area.

When we went to Mammoth Caves, we stayed at Singing Hills RV Park in Cave City. It was a no frills campground but just what we wanted. We had full hookups for three nights and it was a pleasant place to stay.
We would stay there again!

We took our grandsons there a few years back. There is a Thousand Trails campground with full hookups. It's near the entrance across from Diamond Caverns which is a privately owned cave system. Not much at the campground but there is so much to do in the area that we didn't spend much time in it.
