I know this one has been done before. The screen door handle has been a very handy feature for us. The best part is when the door is open, it really helps to close the door by reaching around and grapping the handle to close the door.
The other feature I added was the wire screen to the bottom half of the door due to the dog. In our last Monty, she scratched a hole in it when we left her alone. I did not want that to happen again in the new Monty.
Found this wire mesh at Home Depot. It was a 2 pack for $12. I forget the dimensions, but was almost an exact fit. I used wire cutters to trim a little off and it fit right into the grooves of the door. I added a bead of clear silicone around the frame to remove the rattling sound when you close the door.
