Free standing table

I was contacted by another Montana owner on the rv net, he had a question about the free standing table in the Montie, I looked all over my table and chairs and could not find out who the manufacture of the table was, he tried to log on to our forum but couldn't, I instructed him to e-mail Lady RV and she would help, so in the mean time is there anybody out there who knows WHO the manufacture is so I can send him the answer.
Thanks

TT2

Probably the local Amish men of Goshen and surrounding areas! My memory is not what it used to be (UGH), but, I thought I remembered during a plant tour in 2003, that the chairs and tables were made by local Amish men in the areas surrounding the plant. Lots of craftsmen down there.

TT2,

He might call Mastercraft Inc. They make the chairs and couch and maybe the Table. Here's the Ph#'s,

800-522-5652 or 219-768-4104 or 219-294-2541

Al and Carol are right. I think we were told that all the furniture was made locally by Amish.

Thanks Bill and Ann,

For helping me along here and my ole memory. The way I understand it, the chairs, the tables, end tables, coffee tables, that sort of item is made by the Amish, the couch and stuffed chairs are made by a company, that Mastercraft sounds right. The cabinetry for the rigs is usually made in the plant, again by mostly Amish. (And, with running changes at the plant, maybe this is not all right these days?????)

Boy, what we forget or semi remember when we get older! HAHA!

(Bill, you at Victoria Palms this year??, sorry to hijack the thread, folks)

Yes everyone is correct.

Mastercraft in located in Shipshewana, In. The heart of Amish country. There are Amish working in all the Factories in the surrounding area.

You will find Amish workers in all sorts of Factories there, not just in wood working.

We have been very interested in this culture for many years and have traveled there just to learn from them.

The factories are very fond of the Amish because they give a good days work for a days wage. The Factories allow the Amish workers days off for celebration of Amish Holidays and have made adjustments accordingly.

If you ever get back there and haven't visited the Menno-Hof Historical Museum, It's a great place to learn more about their culture. It's right across the street from the Flea Market in Shipshewana.

It's a culture we have learned to respect greatly.

Happy Camping

Steve, I agree with you. The Menno-Hof museum is well worth a visit as is Shipshewana itself. Just walking around the 'downtown' area is a neat experience. Not to mention that huge flea market. Something over 1100 stalls?
