4 wheel tours in the southwest

A few weeks ago, someone posted about doing a 4 wheel/jeep tour somewhere in the southwest. I have tried to search for the posting and I can't find it. We are heading to the 4 corners in April and am interested in doing something like that. If you have done a jeep tour in that area can you give me some advice?

Thanks,
Judi

Not sure what part of the Southwest you're looking at, but if you google Arizona Jeep tours you'll find quite a few.

There are jeep tours of Canyon De Chelly in the four courners area. All tours must be driven by the tribe members. There is also a cheaper alternative - a big flatbed truck with benches on it. We did a jeep (2 of us) and a single guy joined the tour. Went way back in the canyon. He actually lives there all summer long - no water, elec, or sewer. Probably uses a well for water. Many do this apparently, and if they have kids, they go back to the main house for the school year.
Also many tours by 'Pink jeep' in Sedona. Haven't done that.

We liked the all day tour of Monument Valley out of Goulding's campground. Lot's of arches, they fix lunch over an open fire, great scenic views, and get to go places off limits to non-tribal folks. Moab has jeep tours, and Page, AZ has tours to the slot canyons.

When we were in that area of the southwest we took the financial hit and just spend the money for an all day tour at Monument Valley (Goulding's), and later did the jeep tour of Canyon De Chelly, plus have done both Pink and Red Jeep tours in Sedona, along with the train at Durango to Silverton (narrow gauge railroad), but did self guided and ranger lead walking tours of Mesa Verde, and Chaco Canyon (13X2miles of real bad road). Recommend doing a web search for each of the guided tours as they are so much better than we could have every done on our own. Have Fun

Thanks, that is what I'm looking for. I am getting lots of info from the 4 corners states, but sometimes, the best tours and activities are not found easily on Google.
