Profile photo size

I'm trying to add a picture to our profile. I think I may have that part done correctly, but I'm afraid the picture is too large. My photo is stored on photobucket but I can't figure out how to reduce the photo to the appropriate size for the forum . Please help !

Hi

Starting with Windows 7 Paint will reduce the sizes of the picture then you can put it back on Photo Bucket.

Yes, you must reduce sizes BEFORE you post to Photobucket, etc.

Hints here.

To quote:

"Size limitations apply. If your photo is over 100,000 bytes and/or 800 pixels or more wide it must be made smaller. You will need to do the reduction as your first step in this process. Use your photo editing software or web sites such as http://tinypic.com/ to accomplish the reduction."

Actually, Photobucket has an editing feature that allows you to resize the photos there before linking to them in other sites.
