I agree that the song should have been sung in its original American English version. I, for one, being an ethnic am proud to be an American and while I witness my "culture" as part of the boiling pot of what Americans are made of, the commonality is American and the English language that has been adopted. It's not like the song is sung with the Queen's version of English, but, with American English and maybe a little twang when I lived in Texas, but never with any Spanish in it. THAT song is American English, folks. The people may not be but the song for sure, regardless how much freedom we have.

I thought the the halftime show was going very nicely, until the RHCP's showed up with no shirts and "Give it Away".
In fact I thought it was one of the better shows(not counting the RHCP's, ...at least their appearance was short) in the history of such entertainment.
Bruno Mars did a great job, I liked the James Brown segment in particular, the sound was very good considering the venue,
....and, oh yeah, sea-HAWKS!
FLASH:
Did you see where Houston-based Gallery Furniture lost $7 million on a promotion that promised to give customers who shopped at his stores their money back if the Seattle Seahawks won Sunday.
Anyone who spent more than $6,000 and had their furniture delivered by kickoff Sunday would get a full refund if Seattle won. Roughly 1,000 people bought enough to be eligible for the promotion with an average bill of $7,000, and McIngvale said one customer will get $30,000 back as a result of his big purchase
I guess maybe he figured it would be cheaper than buying advertising spots during the game???? Who knows!

Don't feel too bad. Likely the furniture store had insurance in the event they had to pay out to customers.

According to the owners statement (heard on the radio station I was listening to), he didn't buy insurance and is paying out of his own pocket. Said that he's getting more publicity than if he had paid for 2x 30 seconds spots on the Superbowl. Gotta admire a man who sticks by his word.

If you get annoyed by performers at the Super Bowl, its usually because they perform in a style and attitude that doesn't fit your taste. Just always remember the one 'performer?' that blew it the best, fitting no-ones taste. And bordering on criminal desecration of AMERICA!

That biatch should have been shot, on the spot, for that disgrace! That was the first thing I was reminded of when that opera singer started singing. I realize the opera singer was trying to sing a very difficult song, but Roseanne was just a joke.
