Reflectors

It was suggested that we post that we have reflectors on our slides. We originally put them on for when we were at a rest stop or similar spot, but have found that it came in handy once just recently at an RV park that was very tight - the guy next door almost hit us. He said if it weren't for the reflectors, he wouldn't have seen our entertainment slide.

You can see them in our signature picture. The camera flash made the red look yellow.

We purchased ours at Walmart.

Excellent idea! I'm going to do the same with ours.

I picked mine up in a roll from a safety supply store. I have 8 feet down both sides and in the rear across the hitch. They really light up at night.

I like that idea. I'm going to get some also. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ummm, trying to visualize this...lets see...Big Sky couldn't see it? Sites were so tight he almost ran over your slide and when you came back to your site some neighbor was parked such that your awning couldn't be put out?? (Ok, I added the awning thingy) Maybe put that campground in the group with 'concerns'.

noneck,

We were in a pull through site next to a back-in. The guy was backing in at night and could see the rear of our Monty, but was cutting it tight to make the turn. He thought he could cut it tighter but then saw the reflective tape on the rear of the entertainment slide.

Got it...and I too hate backing in at night. I get out a lot and move backwards slowly...our system is to use a really good police like flash light, stand such that the person can see driver mirror, swing the beam so its illuminating a spot on the ground, sweeping left to right means adjust direction L/R, front to back continue in your good and light blasted into mirror (blinding drivers view) STOP!
Still hate backing in at night...oh, right I said that already.
Guess I'm adding reflectors...you have won me over.

A couple of Walkie-Talkies serve us well. I send dw out while I stay snug in the cab. She's kept me out of trouble so far. A great spotter for sure!

We also use our cellphones - mobile to mobile is free. With the rear camera Kat doesn't do as much spotting as she used to but when needed, she guides me in and I do get out and look over the lay of the land.
