Yakama Nation RV Resort

We came upon this lovely park when driving down Hwy 97 in Washington State. The sites are so generous and made up of level asphalt parking spots. And they have WiFi and a heated pool. There's also a casino, maybe several, nearby. It's also a Good Sam's park so you can get a discount.

We didn't stay at that campground Judy but we were sure in the area a lot this summer. I hope you plan on taking Hwy 84 West to Portland. It is one of the most beautiful drives we have been on. Be sure to allow ourselves plenty of time in the Portland area. You might want to check our website for some pictures we posted

That's exactly the route we plan to take. It should be a beautiful drive, especially since today is beautiful and clear. We saw some interesting terrain driving down from Kamloops and the Gorge should be even more beautiful.

OH MY: Your new picture is beautiful. Where was this taken? I'm getting so excited I can hardly stand it. I see your bikes on the back. Did you have a chance to ride them in Alaska?

The new picture is Bear Glacier, north of Stewart/Hyder. You have to drive the Cassiar Highway to see it but it's worth it. There are many beautiful spots on the Cassiar.

We didn't use our bikes as often as we expected to. Much of Alaska, including the camping sites, are gravel so it's hard to ride them. They sure do get dirty, too. I'm sure avid bicyclists would find a way to ride.

Stopped at a park right on the Columbia near Goldendale, beautiful setting, a little noisy, the trains on the OREGON side kept keeping us awake all night. Only $15 a nite for full hookups... such a deal!

Anything along the Columbia must be beautiful. Great price, too.

We stayed at Yakina Nation RV Resort on Saturday, Nov. 12 on our way from Kelowna, B.C. It was a nice park and their off-season rate of $16 was even better. Would definitely stay there again. Drove down Hwy 84 and crossed the Columbia at Hood River. Wouldn't do that again as the bridge is real narrow and the deck is steel mesh that you can see through. Didn't feel that safe, but I am sure it is OK.
