Help for sofa bed
2014 Montana High Country 305 RL. The sofa is great for sleeping if not unfolded but if opened the bottom springs are not strong enough to keep the mattress from sagging to the crossbars and metal frame. Have you devised an additional support to fit between the mattress and spring to remedy this problem? Placement, removal and storage must be reasonably easy. Also is there some functional reason for the folding, velcro retained feature of the cushions? Tried opening-folding but can't see a use for them if unfolded. Would like to use this sofa-bed for our grown children but it is too uncomfortable so we have resorted to an air mattress on the floor but it is awkward to get out and put up every day.

I found a fix for mine. I took it out and burned it and got a new hidabed. I've never slep on it but when we go hunting the guy that slep on it said it was fine. The original was an air bed that was worthless.

Hi
I am considering removing ours as well. How do you get it out of the trailer?

kdeiss. What mattress did you get that would fold and fit in place of the oem? The OEM is not an air mattress. Did the new mattress fix the problem of the crossbars pushing through the mattress? THANKS

Our Monty didn't have one, but I think it was an inflatable. We'd get another mattress, but I've yet to figure how to unfold the thing!

We purchased a residential Hide A Bed Mattress at a local Mattress Store
It fit perfectly and did elemate the problem you are having.
But keep in mind our Montana is a 2002 I have no idea what the dimentions of the mattress's that come in the new units.

Hmmm! I guess I better pull mine out and check it before I offer it to someone to sleep on, since I've never even checked to see if it does make out to a bed.

kdeiss. Our matress is a queen size tri-fold. Is this what you found? I have not been able to find one to fit. Thanks for your continued help.

Well I went down and tried out the sofa bed. Keystone must have heard some complaints and changed, because mine feels like a firm to extra firm mattress. it actually feels better than the bedroom mattress.
