FDR State Park - Georgia

The wife and I just got back from a lovely four day night stay at the FDR state park, Pine Mountain, GA. If you have not tried it, do so one time. A very quiet park, lovely surroundings, with Calloway Gardens just up the road a couple of miles. The lots were were accessable with lots of nature. Rate were very reasonable. New bath house facilities being built, one complete, a second under construction should you want to save storage space on the RV. Some really great local foods available in the Country Store.

Thanks for the post. We like to save these things for future reference. Do you know what utilities are available in the park, like water, elec (30 or 50amp?), sewer connections? The sewer part makes a difference on how long we plan to stay in a particular park.
Thanks.

Been there , Done that. This past spring we camped at FDR and loved the site and the facilities. That restaurant at the Country Store was fantastic. We also did the Callaway Gardens. In fact here is our Callaway Gardens photos page.

Glenn and Lorraine - this was a great photo. Thanks for sharing. We took some great shots as well, but of course, they are still on the memory chip in the old digital camera.

sreigle - the park offers water and electric (some have 50 amp, but most are 30), but no sewer. You have to use the dump station with your portable station on wheels. At any rate, like most state parks you have to carry your little portable carrier.
