On a screen resolution of 800X600 it will cause you to scroll from side to side. I try and make my photos about 500 pixels wide to keep that from happening. As far as I know they don’t scroll sideways. You could probably go a little wider than 500 pixels and still not cause it to scroll but I’m not sure at what point it would start to cause it to scroll.

Ok I am going to re-post a pic.
I would appreciate it if if members tell me it is shrolling on them. If it is I will make it smaller.
I have a series of pics to post in a Slide Repair thread that I will soon start.

Thanks Jolu and Chris and Bill.
It appears that I have unknowingly violated the rules. The content of the Pix can be no greater than 60K and mine is 65K.
So I am removing the pic and go back to the drawing board. It has been suggested that I use another method such as Photo Bucket so I will look into it.
I will also go back to the rule section to make sure I don't violate club policy.
So for now my Slide repair thread will be on hold for a little while.
Thanks for comments.

Looks great to me using 1920 X 1200 resolution Tom. If I ratchet down to 800 X 600 resolution, the pic does require slight scroll to the right.

Looks good to me too...I'm now anxiously awaiting the slide repair series!!!
On edit...as you indicate size constraints;
I use IrfanView, resize to 640x480, upload to tinypic...good to go

Thanks Brad and Dory,
I have decided not to post the pics outside the practice area on the forum and will seek another method that the forum can link into for a slide show.
I guess I could have changed resolutlon like you did but my Vista crashes enough as it is so thanks for doing that.

It is hard to get the pics to fit all screens. At high resolution, I have to use glasses to see the smaller pics. Guess I either get carpal tunnel scrolling or go blind .
I think I still have a lot of your pics from when you did the water seal repair there. I keep hoping if I always save the pics it won't happen to me.

I know what you mean. My eyes are slowly going especially the blue on blue. I guess just old people are affected.
I think I am just going to write up a permanent narative and put it in PDF. word. or email form. Then when if members need the info I will just send it to them. So maybe I will do that first. I have already cut the quality of the pics too much know. If I do it this way I can show a lot more pics and you can see them without straining.
Thanks a bunch for your comments.

Tom,
You might look at posting your pictures on Picasa. Picasa is free. And it is one of the most user friendly programs I've ever used. If you have questions drop me an email or PM. See you later.

Tom,
Dennis is right, Picasa (Google) is easy, free, has a lot of storage, and you don't have to resize before posting if you don't want to. You can add captions to each photo.

Dennis,
Ok, I loaded everything into PICASA and posted the link in the repair section.
It is very easy to work with. In fact quite fantastic.
Thanks for the info. Now members can see good pictures and I can see right on the software if the pics are messed up in some way. I like the way it syncs with the web.

Tom,
It was EVDOalex about some program that would work well with my MAC and he recommended Picasa. Sure glad he did. I'm with you; It really is easy to work with and like you I'm impressed with the ease of uploading pics. And again I really appreciate your finding your old pictures and putting them up to share with all members.
I was thinking I had the oldest Monty in the group but see by your sig that you've got me beat by a year or two.
Take care,
Dennis

I don't know why I would trade the old girl. It was mfgr in Oct 99 and still going strong. Starting another trip in mid march with lots of layovers.
I have other repairs I made that I may post. since it so easy now. Maybe glen can post the links on the main web site.
I have another truck and have to get my signature updated. Of course it is a Ford.
Thanks Hamrad
