Bad news

My DW and I decided to go on a road trip, we left the North Rim Az at about 6:45 this morning and headed for The Flagstaff Az area, We wanted to see Mormon lake. We were about one and a half hour into the trip and my wife cell phone went off. Thier was a message from last Tuesday the 25th of Aug. The Deputy's office in Grants Pass OR. Was trying to get ahold of me. I called the number given and it took a while for them to find the file. They gave me one more number to call. I reached the county coroner in lake county CA. My older brother had passed away the 25th of Aug. They hadn't got ahold of my Mother yet. That had to be the hardest thing I had done in a while letting her know that her first born had pasted away. He was 57 yrs old and had never been married and had no kids. I needed to share this will you, things like this let me know that we are all in this thing called life together. I know he's in a better place now, he has had a rough time for serveral years now. On a lighter note we have be hired for the Winter Season, at Big Bend National Park, In the Great State of Texas. We will have Five and a half Months to see the area. Should be a Real great experiance. Later randye

So sorry to hear of your loss. You and yours will be in our thoughts and prayers. It is difficult at best, sharing that news long distance.

I am so sorry about your loss. Losing your brother at such a young age must be hard. As the priest at mass today said "we will be on our heavenly journey". He was talking to the youth of the church about choices of following our Lord and knowing that we will not be here on Earth forever.

I am waiting for my reunion with my loved ones that have gone before me.

My prayers are with you and your family in the up coming days.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. The loss of anyone we know is difficult. I hope you are successful getting the details worked out as you described in the other post.

We really enjoyed Big Bend NP and hope to go back some day. Besides all the things to see in the park and the hikes you can take, if you get a chance, take the drive to Presidio. It's a beautiful drive
